Desagilation.com
Outside of my full time work for LearnFlash.com, I’ve also got several web pursuits that I’m experimenting with.
The latest of these is www.desagilation.com, an online compilation of the best videos on the Internet.
The name of the website came from an episode of The Office, where Jim threatens Dwight with a “full disadulation” — a term that I’m pretty sure he made up on the spot. But instead of “disadulation”, I heard “desagilation”, and I immediately ran to the computer to purchase the domain name.
Once I heard that it was probably “disadulation” and not “desagilation”, I suddenly found myself with a worthless domain. But hey! Since I had it, why not use it, right? I’ve been wanting to start a video compilation site for a while anyways, so why not use this new nonsense domain name for that?
True, the new domain name isn’t exactly optimized for search engines, since the word itself (a) doesn’t exist and (b) has nothing to do with videos, but maybe some day it will show up on dictionary.com with the following definition:
desagilation - the act of wasting countless hours on the internet looking for videos
